  16. Inc.; of brain cancer; in Houston, Texas. Unlike some executives
  17. who seek to hide their medical condition, Walsh made no secret
  18. of his illness, treating it aggressively at the same time he
  19. was putting the Houston-based conglomerate on a tough but successful
  20. restructuring regimen. A former U.S. Attorney and a prime corporate
  21. booster of President Clinton, Walsh was finally forced to step
  22. down by his cancer in February.
